Venturi Pump

Venturi PumpVenturi Pumps are used to draw water from hydraulic water pumps and push it through the flow head which in turn create a continuous jet suction effect. These kind of pumps are widely used in industrial applications.

How does a Venturi Pump works?
The working and performance of the pump depends on vacuum level, vacuum flow, evacuation speed and air consumption. A transducer produces a vacuum . This is done by forcing compressed air through a limiting orifice into a venturi section. As the air exits the orifice it expands, increasing velocity to supersonic speeds before entering the venturi section. This creates a negative pressure or vacuum at the vacuum inlet port located between the orifice and venturi section. This high velocity insures efficient and effective operation.

Uses and Features
  • A venturi pump is well suited for explosion proof applications.
  • It is economical to operate.
  • These pumps are durable and reliable.
  • They do not require lubrication.
  • They are made of light weight materials.
  • They are compact in size.
  • Valves can be removed easily without removing the pump from the place where it is mounted.
  • These types of pumps are dust resistant and prevent corrosion.
  • These pumps are easy to control.
Applications of Venturi Pump:
Venturi pumps are used in wide variety of industries and applications. They are as follows:
  • Semiconductors
  • Robotics and automotives
  • Electronics
  • Packaging
  • Filling machines
  • Corrosive and acidic applications
  • Metal sheet handling
  • Vacuum veneering
  • Pneumatic conveyor
  • Vacuum clamping
  • Lifting non porous materials such as sheet metal, glass, and laminates.
  • Handling small components in electronic industries.
  • Industrial vacuum pump applications
