HVAC Industry

HVAC industry has emerged as one of the most important industry in today's economy. When we talk about HVAC, it implies heating, air conditioning, and ventilation. It may also stand for High-voltage alternating current. The three functions: heating, air conditioning, and ventilation are closely interrelated. This is because in addition to providing for smoke control, they control the temperature and humidity of the air within a building. They also maintain pressure relationships between spaces, and providing fresh air for occupants. In modern building designs, the design, installation and control systems of these functions are integrated into a single "HVAC" system.

HVAC contractors install and service furnaces, air conditioning units, fans, and the associated ductwork and control units in residential and commercial buildings. While HVAC accounts for the bulk of industry revenues, many commercial HVAC contractors have sheet metal operations to build custom HVAC ductwork. Plumbing contractors install kitchen, bathroom fixtures and the associated pipes in residential or commercial buildings. They can also install gas appliances and pipework. Industry revenue is evenly split between commercial and residential segments.

Pumps in HVAC Industry
Pumps are an important component in HVAC. Pumps in HVAC industry are devices specifically designed for the efficient transfer of heat from one fluid to another fluid over a solid surface. This transfer of heat can either take the form of absorption or dissipation of heat. Pumps can be found in everyday equipment from boilers, furnaces, refrigerators to air conditioning systems.

Pumps in HVAC industry are used in oil coolers, transmission and engine coolers, boiler coolers, waste water heat recovery, chilled water systems, ground water systems, condensers and evaporators in refrigeration systems, close approach fluid-to-fluid heat transfer, pool heaters etc.
