Agriculture Industry According
to an estimate taken in 2002, 42% of the world's population is employed
in agriculture, making it by far the most common occupation. Agriculture
production is an important economic contributor to any economy.Agriculture industry as a whole is not only confined to the art, science or practice of producing food, feed, fiber and many other desired goods by the proper raising of plants and animals but it also denotes a broad array of activities which are essential to food and material production. This include all techniques for raising and processing livestock, for crop planting and harvesting, nutrient management. Agriculture Industry depends heavily on engineering and technology and on the biological and physical sciences. Irrigation, drainage, conservation and sanitary engineering, application of fertilizers, chemicals, soil makeup, analysis of agricultural products, and nutritional needs of farm animals, plant breeding and genetics, advanced seed engineering, the packing, processing, and marketing of agricultural products are closely related activities which as a whole influences the agriculture industry. Pump Applications in Agriculture Industry There are varieties of pumps available for a full range of agricultural applications. The agricultural production requires large volumes of water. It takes large amounts of electricity, for electrical pumps, to move the enormous volumes of water needed for irrigating. The capability to move water over long distances is especially important for arid areas that do not contain enough water to sustain an agricultural economy. The pump selected should be suitable for the well and the water requirements. The pumps have the ability to transfer clear water, chemical, fertilizer and coping with flood damage. |
